HOPE AND SURVIVAL IN A TIME OF AIDS

May we become at all times, both now and forever,
a protector for those without protection,
a guide for those who have lost their way,
a ship for those with oceans to cross,
a bridge for those with rivers to cross,
a sanctuary for those in danger,
a lamp for those in need of light,
a place of refuge for those in need of shelter,
and a servant to all those in need.

I encourage you to visit the website of the Woza Moya Project, the organization that I traveled with taking photographs during my visit to South Africa, to learn more
about the vulnerable children of the Ixopo area and the challenges they face living in a time and place of AIDS.
www.wozamoya.org.za
Woza Moya Project has identified many orphaned and vulnerable children who are not in school.
Families cannot afford the school fees and even more so the school uniforms.

A one off donation of R500 (approximately $80) covers school fees for a year as well as the uniforms, shoes, tracksuits and stationery required to attend school.
To make a donation to Woza Moya Project checks can be made payable to South Africa Development Fund, a 501(c)(3) public charitable organization.

Donations by check can be mailed to
South Africa Development Fund
555 Amory Street, Boston, MA 02130.
Please mark your check "Woza Moya Project"

The South Africa Development Fund is directed by South Africans who have both a vast knowledge of issues affecting  their country
and strong ties to the United States.  For many years, the organization has maintained a link between concerned Americans and
South African working to enhance economic and social justice.  All contributions are tax-deductible.

Please read the Annual Report of Woza Moya which you will find on their website.  It will give you an idea of the wonderful work they are doing.
Please email me at cathy@catherineandersonstudio.com if you need any further information.

“While no adult who is HIV-positive has asked for it, they are not as innocent as the children -
the utterly voiceless, the unspeakably vulnerable.  The children have only me and you to depend on.”
